Drone strike on Saudi airport injures 8

 A drone strike at Abha Airport in Saudi Arabia has injured eight people.


Eight people were injured when Yemeni Houthi rebels tried to target the international airport in the Saudi city of Abha with an explosive-laden drone on Tuesday, according to details.

The air defense of the Arab League destroyed the drone in the air, after which some pieces and parts of the destroyed drone fell in the airport area.

The Arab League says Saudi Arabia's armed forces destroyed another Houthi-sent drone after destroying a drone targeting the airport.

The coalition statement said that according to initial reports, the wreckage of the drone crashed into a passenger plane parked at the airport, injuring eight passengers. The Iranian-backed Houthi militia is regularly carrying out drone strikes on various cities in the country.

Meanwhile, a statement issued by Saudi officials said that eight people were injured in an attack on a Saudi airport by Houthi rebels in Yemen. The injured have been shifted to the hospital.

Saudi officials say Yemeni Houthi rebels have targeted Abha airport, and a drone strike has damaged a passenger plane parked at the airport.
